About the Event

Description: "Healing Through Sound " is a powerful and inspiring physical and spiritual experience on healing from the traumatic experiences of domestic violence and sexual abuse and/or other traumas. This workshop is designed to empower and uplift individuals by providing them with sound therapy that incorporates all chakras (energy points in the body).

In this workshop you’ll also learn:

  • What is trauma?
  • What are the chakras (energy points in the body)?
  • How are the chakras affected by trauma?
  • What is sound therapy?
  • How does sound therapy heal the chakras?
  • Resources on Holistic Therapies

Giselle will lead a sound bath for all participants for 45min-1hr, which will happen toward the end of the workshop using crystal singing bowls.

What is a sound bath?

A sound bath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture your mind and body. During this sound bath Giselle will only use the the crystal singing bowls, which will consist of 7 bowls for each energy point in the body (chakras).

What you will need to bring with you:

-Yoga mat, blanket or towel. Feel free to bring a pillow if you would like.

Overall, "Healing Through Sound" is an essential practice for anyone who has experienced domestic violence or sexual abuse and/or other traumas, or who simply want to learn more about holistical therapies available to them in their journey toward healing.
