Agnis Peña-Toro

Mental Health Consultant/Workshop Curator

Agnis received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health and Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University (Cambridge, MA).  Agnis J Pena-Toro, M.A. is a trained Trauma Psychotherapist and Whole Health Coach and Consultant. Agnis has more than ten years of experience working at community mental health, public schools, non-profits organizations, and private virtual psychotherapy and settings. 

 

Agnis framework and orientation are based on whole health, body trust, HAES (health at every size), trauma, diversity, inclusion, equality, social justice, and power and privilege. She is also trained as a Trauma Recovery Coach, Intuitive Eating Counselor, and Body Trust Provider. Her background includes training in Yoga, Mindfulness, Expressive Arts Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS) Level 2 (anxiety, shame and depression; addictions and eating disorders), Somatic Psychotherapy, Polyvagal Theory, DBT, Eating Disorders, Emotional Eating, Trauma Studies, and Developmental, Relational and Attachment Trauma.

Agnis loves to travel and learn about other countries and cultures’ worldviews, perspectives in life, and what matters the most in life. Agnis is a lover of the Caribbean Sea, the beach, the arts, books, comedy, museums, dancing, swimming, steam room, sauna, cold plunge, music and food.
